We use Matthews exclusively for cast bronze and etched metal plaques. Their online customer portal makes ordering and artwork submission a snap.
Over the past year, we've had some extremely tight deadlines due to late decision making on our customer's behalf and Matthews has come through each and every time. Of course, expedited orders require an additional fee, but they estimate a typical turnaround time of four weeks for non-expedited orders.
I just received a non-expedited bronze plaque yesterday via FedEx, and the turnaround time was exactly 21 days from the day I placed the order online.
I'm not sure how Matthews' pricing compares with other companies, but honestly I don't really care. Their customer service and product quality is top notch and that's all that matters to me....and that keeps us looking good to our customers. I've had a couple of situations where there has been miscommunication, but they have always resolved matters swiftly and professionally.
We also use them for our own personal projects. We have two commemorative bronze plaques on our shop wall that were made by Matthews. They mark a significant event for our family/company, and they also serve as show room samples for our customer to see.
