Ok, so, what's the downside of running expired link, say a month after they expired?

Curious, because I have some, and can extend the date - but the printer says it isnt recommended.

Thanks!

meh... its just like driving your car past its oil change date.
"ok for now, but if you're the kind of guy that does it all the time... then you're prolly the kinda guy that does everything else that eventually beats it into the ground" :)

ink should still have a good shelf-life of say, a year or soon after, if unopened and the mylar seal is still intact. Just remember that your cartridge has most likely been sitting on a shelf for a good long time, and i'm sure your printer would appreciate a long-gentle stirring of the cartridge before shoving it in.

How do you stir a cartridge?

Ok, just so I understand, you are saying NOT to shake the cartridge back and forth, but rather a gentle stirring, can you be more specific, how do you stir a cartridge?

Don't shake

Hold it in your hand and tilt it back and forth a few times is how we were told in tech school
