Exterior Paint for Historic Signs?

Signstein

Hoping for any recommendations on exterior, water-based paints suitable for re-creating and preserving historic signs (see attached for examples). Ronan Aquacote or Nova Color acrylics?
Both seem to be suitable alternatives to leaded, oil based 1-Shot. The Nova Color line seems more geared toward artists and muralists. Aquacote seems more suitable for graphics and lettering.
Does anyone have experience using these? I guess I'm looking for something good for blending/painterly properties but also good for lettering.

Thanks!
