Can someone explain how the carriage belt tensioning mechanism operates for the FB500?
The manual says to adjust screws until the white tab is even with the bracket edge or even a little past the bracket edge for a little more tightness. To me, the manual has it backwards because if you adjust the white tab out, then the plastic wedge is being pulled away from the belt wheel tensioner The way I did it, is adjust so that the plastic tab goes in toward the belt wheel so that the plastic wedge is pushing in toward the belt wheel and creating tension. Am I wrong or is the manual wrong. Doesn't make sense to adjust it out.
