FC4100-75 Parts Needed

Hightech Signs

New Member
I need the carriage that holds the knife holder. The screw thread is wallowed out and will not clamp down on the knife holder tight. I ordered one from Graphtec a few years ago for the same thing. They said thet are not carrying that part anymore. This plotter works great and I do not want to trash it for a small plastic part. Any help or advise would be great. I have attached a picture of the part. carriage.jpg

I am in the same boat..

I recently acquired a FC4100 plus and it has the same issue, a broken blade holder holder..

My naive thought was, "of course graphtec will have this oh so simple mass produced plastic part in stock and cheap..."

I got the same response from them that they no longer support the product and no longer have the part. Dang...
So does anyone else have a parts machine?
Does anyone have an idea where to find this part?

I am bummed that a sweet workhorse of a machine may be done for because of a chintzy plastic piece.

New here,
Does anyone have an extra push and pinch roller along with a the handle? I’m not sure why or if the pinch wheel is supposed to be super tight when I pull the handle to hold my paper. The handle is also broken and I just bought it, used, thinking I could order the parts online....but guess what....nothing. The problem that I’m having is that when I pull the handle and wrap it with a rubber band to cut, the pinch wheel is too tight to the roller on the bottom. The other 2 seem to hold the paper and spin but the far right one gets stuck because of the tightness. Here are pictures.

Please help, any info is useful.

P.s. I tried removing the wheel, it seems to be stuck because the previous owner did something to it. I removed the other 2 just fine with no problems.

My FC4100-75 still functions beautifully every day, 20 years now. No employees ever so there's no one abusing, cutting on or overtightening crap, life is good.

there would never be a need to to trash the machine for such a minor, 20 minute repair (original post)

just drill out the hole to the size for the next largest screw size, then thread with a tap
$20 at home depot, or grainger. (drill bit, tap and handle to hold the tap)

Where would you get a pinch roller for the machine? Just to verify I am talking about the Graphtec FC4100-75. The rubber on one of the pinch roller wheels separated from the metal section. Looks like a drag racer wheel.

I have an old FC4100-130 and I just broke one of the locking casters. Does anyone have a spare laying around in a boneyard somewhere? Do you know someone who might?

I contacted Graphtec and they don't have any parts for this machine because it was discontinued ten years ago. They only keep parts for six.

Also, I have no idea how to get the thing off. It has a nut with a lock washer on the inside and a jam nut outside. It looks pretty self explanatory but it's so tight I have the edges of the jam nut almost rounded off. Frustrating.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they reverse-thread? Does the plastic wheel come apart? If I could just pop a side off and lock it permanently, that's all I really need. Thanks in advance.
