FC8000 Issue with circles

Hey guys,

When cutting circles it seems like my holder is vibrating and its taking longer then it used to when it was cutting smoothly.

Is 120STD the latest firmware or has this got issues with it?

Cutting squares is fine its only when the media is being feed and the knife is moving across I get this problem.

Have I got another issue?

Cheers

Jason its a known problem with some contours to many arc nodes close together.
if you just draw a circle does it do the same

Hey Woolly,

These are circles with four nodes so on each edge.

So in Illustrator I grab the circle tool and draw a circle.

your art or customers.
just now and then it happens and i redraw also happens on some poor fonts, where the roland driver appears to be less fussy.
if you look closely at the cut edge are there small jiggles.

you might want to check your plotters resolution setting. not sure if that will work, but it could be an issue.

Hey Wooly,

This is my art with a simple circle drawn. The cutting is perfect I don't have an issue with that. I actually haven't tested it with just cutting a circle. I always use arms so its registering the marks then cutting the circle.

Could it be something to do with arms?

tec: I will look at that setting never played around with it though.
