Feather banner questions

How many have dealt with feather banners (bowhead or sail banners)....the kind that have one pole, are 10 or so feet tall vertically, and typically seen around car dealers, retail outlets, etc.... They're made to flap or spin around in the breeze.

Most of these are made of nylon, printed on both sides. Problem is...the back side is reversed (the print goes all the way thru). Has anyone tried to put vinyl letters on this nylon material, or heat press? Could they not be done on lightweight vinyl, and then use vinyl letters?

Anyone have any expertise, or past experience on these things? Thanks!

Bowhead might work with scrim vinyl banners, however, hemming could be challenging.

Feather or sail banner won't work with vinyl banner, as it relies on wind to open it up to be readable. Unless you rig the pole to be like a light-pole banner frame so the banner is stretched open.

You can custom order embroidered ones..

Some people have had success with heat transfer material on the nylon blanks though.
