FJ50 Question, What is the application for prints?

I found an FJ50 for sale for a reasonble price. What is the application for the output of this printer? Will it print for outdoor use? Does it also cut?

scoop it up, add heaters to it and you'll be printing solvent ink...

Could you suggest a solvent ink for the change over?
I'm just getting ready to do mine. Ordering the heaters and everything this week, but I just can't settle on an ink.
What kind of maintenance do you do to keep the heads from clogging etc.?
