    Position Overview

This a production position using the latest in printing and CNC router technology. You will be printing, cutting, routing, and installing all kinds of things. No two days will be the same that is for sure. We need someone who is not afraid to step out and try new things, be a little uncomfortable and be a zealot when it comes to learning new things. We need someone with the need to figure things out. Not someone who sits back and watches while others figure it out for them. If you sit back and wait for it to be figured for you no need to apply. If you are the opposite please do apply, because we think you will be surprised at the technology you get to play with every day and you will get to hang out with the really cool people that work here.

    Ideal Candidate:

Of course, it would be really nifty if we found someone with experience operating this type of equipment who could walk right in and even teach us a thing or two. But we are realists and realize that probably won’t happen. We would be more than happy with someone who possesses the aforementioned “Important Stuff” and train them to do the job.

    Your Run-of-the-Mill Basic Responsibilities:

    • Operate a variety of digital printing devices
    • Maintain equipment and do light maintenance of the equipment
    • Read work tickets and follow production instructions
    • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
    • Monitor quality control to insure an excellent final product
    • Operate CNC router/cutter
    • Installation of wall graphics, car graphics, trade show booths and etc
    • Must have a clean driving record
    • Hours 8am to 5pm with some limited overtime when busy
The Important Stuff You Must Have:

    • Must be nice to the people that you work with even when they don't deserve it.
    • You need to be a technology person. Computer, internet the whole deal. We have some high-tech stuff. If you have a flip phone this might not be for you.
    • Have a mechanical aptitude. If wrenches and screwdrivers scare you it’s a no-go.
    • Like to work and work while at work (a post to Instagram won't kill anyone as long as you get your work done).
    • Must be able to be on your feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs like most humans.
    • Be a multi-tasking Ninja. We do a lot in a short amount of time. This is no place for the proactively challenged.
    • Basic math is necessary, but yes you can use a calculator.
    • Be willing to jump in and figure things out on your own. No hand holding here.
    • You must be a life-long learner to work here. Lots to learn and it's always changing.
    Big Pluses If You Have:

    • Experience with large format roll-fed or flatbed printers
    • A background in the sign industry
    • Graphic design background
    • Experience with car wraps
    • Any experience with CNC router in the graphics industry
    • An Uncle or Cousin who can get us good seats to Bradley basketball games.
If you don’t have any direct experience you should probably send a cover letter explaining why you fit the bill and why we would be foolish not to hire you.

Send Resume and Cover Letter to: Shane Parker shane@go2pip.com
