What’s a general per sheet charge to an end user for a 4x8 and 5x10 size sheet good and routing 6 multiple star shapes - direct printed cmyk and routing to shape?

Trade Only Screen & Digital Sign Printing
So many variables here. From about $30 a sheet, low wholesale, to $800+ a sheet high retail. Not even kidding.

Here's a tool to get your started:

Different medias will run at different speeds for printing and cutting. Corrugated vs magnet cutting is totally different. 1/2” foam vs 3/16” foam is different for cutting.

Most of all our materials are printed on the same speed but that is not the normal on most machines. Cutting can be a huge factor. You can get burned on the details if not careful.

All depends on printer/cutter etc. We run boards at approximately 50 seconds a board (for printing) where another shop may spend 5 minutes per board. We calculate our price by the square foot for printing and based off labor rates for cutting.

Don’t forget to factor in blades, bits and clean up (especially for routing).

Hi Parrott- This is very useful and thank you very much. We mostly us 3MM ACM .080 sign white and the other stuff is usually 3/14 or 1/2 gator. Ill find out more about how our guys set up the time but guessing we are closer to 5 minutes based on the various shapes and clean cutting we go for. Im finding they change the bit about every 10-15 sheets apparently so will factor that in as well. Thank you for your experience on this!

This question should have been predetermined before getting a unit that can print & finish the work. A sheet x 3.5 cost. Time; setup and margins you need to afford the mortgage on the unit. JMO

Understood- Im not doing an equipment analysis for purchase done many years ago- just seeing if the average around the nation to charge an end user for a 5x10 flatbed print with routing time of about 5 minutes per sheet is. Im sure its between $100-$1000 not including the actual substrate. Just curious really

Im sure their is a better way to ask or maybe too personal for folks to share. Anyways appreciate the feedback.

I totally agree. To simply buy a machine and not know what it is worth TO YOU is just incredible. Only you know what it'll take to keep your door open and people paid. You have enough other equipment from which to kinda figure this kinda data out. How did you obtain those numbers. This is no tongue lashing, but how do people buy these things without even putting a foot in the shallow end of the pool ??
