I think my Father in law has the same one he uses for one of his daughters vehicles. There is a glass company around here that has cell phones in all the trucks and has them linked to a gps tracking thing from their cell service plan.

Yeah I know cell phones might be a viable alternative. Pricing is a concern considering the number of vehicle involved. Seems like there are SO many choices.

I used to work for a trucking company and we used qualcomm. Good within 1 block back in late 90's. You can even set the units up to send messages.
