Flexi 10.5 Custom Gradient Fill Colors?

I have found that in order to get the colors I want in my final output I usually need to use custom defined CYMK colors. I tried doing a Rainbow gradient fill and I seemed to be able to define the colors in CYMK that I wanted to use, but when printed, my changes were ignored and it used the default RBG colors which produces a horrible rendition of red that looks more like orange. Is there a way to create custom gradients and add them to the palettes?

Thanks

Did you set the gradient color mode to CMYK? The gradient color mode should match the colors that comprise the gradient. You can do this in the Advanced Settings tab. You can also add the gradient to your swatch table from this tab.

Yes, I did set it for CYMK but it seemed to keep switching back to RBG. Was acting kind of squirely too. The first node color on the left (using Rainbow Fill) is RED, so I would make sure I was in CYMK mode and then I would change the node to my good red which in this case is 0-100-80-5. When I click OK the rest of the colors disappear and the whole thing turns that solid red. Very frustrating. It's acting like it won't apply the changes and reverts to the default RGB rainbow. :banghead:

Just dawned on me that maybe I need to manually reset all the nodes? But then again, when I switch to the CYMK mode it should switch all the colors to the relative CYMK values and that should not be necessary unless I want to tweek them.

UPDATE - I thought of something else that could be causing some of my problems. The rainbow Gradient I am applying is to a line of text. I wonder if I should be setting my TEXT under the Rendering Intents to "No Color Correction" instead of "Perceptual"?

We use "Relative Colorimetric" with ALL of our gradients in the "cymk" and "others". Depending on the material you are printing on and the profile being used. We use the Oracal 3651 profile and tweaked it a bit to our tastes.
