Flexisign 7.6

i have a vinyl express Qe60+ and flexisign 7.6 and im tryin to make graphics for a truck it's a telephone number and i wanted to lay a outline and a shadow but when it comes time to cut it, it only lets me do it with wireframe on the setting and it cut every line on the dang thing and i only want it to cut the outline can someone help this newbie.

select just the outline and then hit control-L. The cut/plot window will open with just the outline.

but it wont let me use the cut and plot. when i try to set it up it does'nt have my machine in the selection. When i push the cut or send button it's just says cutting and the machine does'nt do nothing so i just go throught the file then print.
