FlexiSign & Print 12 Copy / Paste acting differently?

Ok until recently I could copy / paste an object or text in FlexiSign and when I would go to paste it ctrl -V it would hold it for me and i could place it with my mouse then click for where i wanted it to land.

now it just pastes it some where else randomly in my canvas so i have to go look for it.

how can i fix this?

When the same problem pops up in my Flexi 11, I open the Preference Manager and reset it to an earlier saved good one or reset to factory defaults. For me, that fixes it every time.
