I've never seen this one before, but I've seen similar as true type fonts.
Do you have the original Illustrator file before it was converted to a PDF? Or, if it was anoter file type before that, you can sometimes read the info contained within the file coding to track down the creator.

I should give props to the vector doctor
This image was redone by the Vector Doctor from a crappy scan he is amazing . I was just asking because i have seen them at alot of dance academys around my house.
