font help

I know that this is Bluebeard font. My question is that I want to modernize the logo that was done in the 70's and instead of going through each letter and manipulating nodes and cleaning up, it would be nice if there was a font that has the same attributes. Meaning taking the font that is like Bluebeard and making it look like Bluebeard with the extra pieces it has like in the H. When I first saw the logo it looked like a bad .jpg, but it actually looks very ragged like Papyrus.

not too sure I get what you want to do. since this is Bluebeard and all ready is messy looking like a bad jpeg, why not just use it or are you trying to make it look like Bluebeard but without the mess? is it just one word? if so, just node edit like you said you didn't want to do to smooth it out. I have a "thin" tool in Omega that works good for long none curved places in a letter, do you have that in what you use? it might help speed things up.

PS that is one ugly a$$ font ;)

I thought if I found a font close to it and then tweak that to look like Bluebeard, but it seems from the response is that I will have to do what you suggested with smoothing it out.
