It's an old Indian trick. I learned it years ago when I first went out west breeding Shetland ponies. You laugh! But it's a common problem. They move their feet around a lot. You get your toes stepped on and it hurts like hell. 
Actually, the image was there. I guess the OP decided to delete it once the answer was given.
Thanks a lot! Really helped me out on this one. Turning around some yard signs quickly with the correct font gave us a great chance at doing their flee wrap.
