This is from a menu board and the client wants to begin using our shop for changes.

Anyone recognize it offhand?

Hmmm.. That means I may have to "invent" letters 0-9 or see if I can get more samples and scan/vectorize them for this particular client.

Drat!

It was a system font that came with earlier versions of the mac OS. I have the font on my system that I migrated over from OS 9. I could either send you the ttf font or the numbers converted to outlines ..... if folks don't think that's illegal, which it might be.

Wouldn't that be like stealing ?

Some say yes and some say no ... and then there are those wishy-washy souls who say maybe. My reply was simply to point to what to do with what is there. If he then chooses to use it as a template for tracing, that's his call. It certainly happens many times a day.

Apple fonts are only available in Macintosh TrueType format; they are not distributed in Windows font formats. Apple fonts can only be obtained by purchasing the Macintosh operating system.

Do you think it is realistic to require someone to buy a Macintosh to set some type? His other option would be to go to someone with a Mac and purchase the typesetting.
