So I bought a Roland GRC-61 from someone on craigslist and Flexisign Pro 7.5! I have cut a few things succesfully but what I NEED to cut is words, different fonts, etc... The fonts i tried to cut were very jagged and just didnt look good (i do alot of monogramming with vinyl and personalization and "canvas quotes" with vinyl) I asked the man i bought it from what was going on and he said it was because i have to use Adobe fonts. So thats what i did, I tried using ONLY adobe fonts but the fonts are still jagged and the letters dont come together. Like, the beginning cut and ending cut of the letter dont meet together! Is this something with the software? the cutter? the blade? im lost and dont know where to go from here...HELP!! PLEASE!!

Good quality fonts are not the exclusive domain of Adobe.

Cut a line of text with a font that is known to be good, such as Arial, and see if you still have the problem. If you do then the problem is most likely with your plotter. Dull blade, setup issue, blade holder etc.

have you changed the sheet size in the printer setup. I had this issue a few weeks back. I asked the question but never got any response. But what I figured out was that if I changed the sheet from the default sheet size of 580x1600 mm to 580x2400mm the text would cut jagged with known good art. Meaning I had already cut a file at a smaller size. But if I made it larger and changed the sheet dimensions if would be jagged. Without knowing more about how to be able to change the sheet size and still get smooth fonts I have just stuck with the 580x1600 mm and just tile everything I need to cut. It made for more work but that was the only option I have. How you find a solution for your problem.
