Or you could go redneck and use a bumper jack, 2 cement hollow blocks, maybe some 2x4s for added lift.......

You can get 2 hydraulic jacks safer, cheaper & less work than that add jack stands to boot.

For that kind of money I'd just get a mid or low rise lift. Much simpler, faster and they have wheels on them. Like this: http://www.mile-x.com/bend-pak-lr-60-low-rise-lift.aspx

Probably but not the easiest solution for lowered cars, means driving it up race ramps, then jacking and then standing. These have a smaller footprint to pack away than a low/med rise lift (haven't got the biggest workshop for storage)

Seems buying them and shipping them to Aus might be a bit too expensive but a different kind of kit that would suit my needs
