Football Field Marking

Forgive me is this has been discussed, but my searches didn't yield any results. I have a client who wants to paint a 30' x 36' graphic on a grass football field. They will handle the painting but have asked us to supply a stencil of sorts. What is the best way to accomplish this? Pounce pattern? Stencil? I may pass on this as we have no experience, but I figured I would at least ask around to see if this is something we can and/or want to do.

We did one but it was a really simple design of two interlocking letters. We used a 16' x 16' piece of banner material, projected the design, then cut 1/2" holes every 2-3" in it.

The school used it like a giant pounce pattern. They'd roll it out, spray through the holes with marking paint, then remove the pattern and connect the dots.

We stole the idea from here... http://www.usspecialtycoatings.com/Products/Football-Field-Stencils-(1)/Midfield-Logo-Stencils.aspx

Don't ask me for a price, I sold it to them for material cost because I wanted to.
