Formula/chart for making pole pockets?

We tell our clients that banners are temporary signage and are only designed to last about 3 months, any longer than that its a bonus.

That being said I have a client that we did a banner in 2010 and its still up! Ink looks good but the banner is falling apart around it.

Pole Pocket Template for all

I have made this template to answer the question of pole pocket measuring.... NO MATH REQUIRED. Using 1" banner seam tape you can use this guide. Adjust your hem accordingly.

3/4" - 1"+3 5/8" +1" - 5 5/8" Total
1" - 1"+4.5" +1" - 6.5" Total
2" - 1"+7 5/8"+1" - 9 5/8" Total
3" - 1"+10 3/4"+1" - 12 5/8" Total
4" - 1"+13 7/8"+1" - 13 7/8" Total
