Need Help Fountain fill problem

I am trying to create a fill on 3m 680 reflective vinyl. I want to fade the black on the font from black at the bottom to no black at the top. I am using Corel Draw x8 Rasterlink SP pro 5. I used a fountain fill and then the transparency tool. What is happening is the gray ink on the ij680 is creating a green. I am trying to figure out how to print just black and still get the fade effect. This print is really popular with police.

Use a halftone instead of a gradient. With a halftone all the dots are black just their size varies.
