Full depth pop-out stickers with Flexi?

Hello! I've been wondering lately about a certain type of sticker I'm looking to offer to customers. When I do pop-out stickers, I usually set a border of about 1/4" for the perf cut, then the normal kiss cut. This leaves a 1/4" of scrap to weed, and leaves a white liner border on the finished product. While this looks fine, I've been wondering if there's a way to do a pop-out around the actual shape of what would be the kiss cut?

In other words, can I go full depth around the shape of the kiss cut so it pops out, and have it cut through cleanly? I haven't tried it yet, but if I made the kiss cut a perf cut instead, it won't leave a very clean edge around the final sticker itself.

Graphtec FC8600 and Flexi, by the way.

Any ideas?

I think you'd need a flatbed cutter to produce the die cut like stickers you get from Stickermule that don't have any perf cut notches left on them, or you can hand trim em off.

The other option to try is do a contour cut first then go over it with a perf cut, you won't get the little notch on the vinyl (due to the contour cut), but you'll still have that little notch left on the liner portion.

Thank you! I considered trying to do the kiss cut with the blade in spot #2 so it's not against the teflon strip, but then I would have to strategically place my pinch rollers. I think that MIGHT work, though, come to think of it. Hmmm.

Let me know if you figure it out, I tried doing my kiss/contour cut in the slot without the teflon strip and had a bunch of problems. If you get it working please share!

I have been fooling with this lately.
using flexi and a Vinyl express Q54. (graphtec clone)
you can set up line types per each condition on the plotter. I created a dotted line that is a 1/2 inch cut, with a .030 gap.
Works pretty good for a perf cut. You can also set the tool to be in the gap, or over the strip. I am just using the strip for now...
So when I cut, I do the outline with a regular contour cut (regular line) then the second contour, (1/4 inch border) as the perf cut.

If you play with the line type, cut and gap, you can get a pretty decent perf cut, without a bunch perf notches.
