Fun with fonts

[Pixels Are Bad Mmmkay?]

So I bought a copy of Font Creator Home Edition the other day. It comes in handy when you have a font that you like but there's that one letter, number or whatever that just looks screwy or something and you want to permanently modify the character slightly. I've also been using it to create my own custom fonts which I'd like to share with you guys and maybe get a critique on my design. I'd like to know if there is anything that doesn't look right and could use some tweaking. Two of them are pretty basic. The other one has a lot more character. My goal really is to make some proprietary fonts that I can use everyday. And if I get better at it and decide I really enjoy it I might release a few to the public. I actually find it relaxing to do at night when I'm bored and there's nothing else to do. These were all constructed from the ground up. They are not modifications of existing fonts although I'm sure there are fonts similar to the first two. They are pretty simple and geometric. Let me have it...

Very nice, I really like the first and third one! I dabbled in making fonts a bit in font creator myself but I just found I don't have the patience.

Nice. On #3, IMHO the C, G and S don't seem to match the other letters. That blunt serif end don't have the same look as the pointy serifs of every other letter

I really like the 3rd one, it's something I could use here. Looks kind of similar to the font "Newtext" and "serpentine" but with a few more stylistic accents. The first one needs some work on the lower case "s" and where a few of the curves meet up with the straight lines.

Yeah, that lower case s is definately killing me. I'm gonna have to work on it more.

Thanks for pointing that out. I can see that now and will make some changes.
