I can see that replacing neon and LED also when they invent colors and can control the brightness better.....especially because it's bendable. We live in amazing technological times.

We'll be lucky if we ever even see it. There's too much money in CFLs right now, and corporate interests, despite him having a corporate partner, will probably snuff this out.

There was a Canadian that developed basically the same thing about fifteen years ago, before CFLs and LEDs were even considered an option. It was suppose to completely revolutionize the way we wired and lit spaces, and save billions in electricity, and infrastructure spending. He was promptly shut down, and we haven't seen anything like it since.
