Fuzzy horizontal bands about 2 feet into the beginning of every print hp latex 360

Hello. I've attached an image of the issue, but I am getting these fuzzy horizontal bands about 2 feet into every print I make. I can avoid them by printing a new job immediately after the last, but I let it sit for much longer than a few minutes this band appears on my next print. The image is sharp and clear above and below this fuzzy band. I have an expired lc printhead installed right now, but I don't see how that could be causing the issue.

Any idea about what is causing this? So annoying! I've attached an image of the fuzzy band below. Thank you!

So what if you print 2feet of nothing and then your jobs it's all fine..?

Clean your OMAS lense on the print platen and watch the substrate that it's not lifting up in the beginning.

Hi yes that is exactly what happens. I'll try cleaning my OMAS lense. Never done that before. Substrate does not appear to be lifting up though.

Hello, I've cleaned my OMAS lense, replaced an expired printhead and made sure the substrate is not lifting up at the beginning. No change in in the issue. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

I'm out of good ideas. I assume the issue is the feed direction so just look at it while printing and try to see what's up. Is it slipping on the rewinder or drive roller etc.
Happens on all different substrates or just one?
What if you attach it to take-up before printing?

Happens even if attached to take-up reel. Would make sense if the issue was the feed mechanism, but not too sure how to assess that.

Hi Geneva. I'll give that a try and will get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion.
I had the same type of printing going on in 2022...i have a 315. that's when i discovered it was either the plasticizing of the material or the printheads. i ultimately ended up changing all of them and the quality greatly improved.
when I start seeing the fuzzies, i know it's time to change the printheads.

Makes sense. Unfortunately I just replaced the optimizer printhead and I'm still getting the issue. All our other printheads are under 900 ml used so I doubt they could be the culprits. When you hjad your issue was it just fuzziness along a horizontal band every so often or was it consistent fuzziness?

it was consistently fuzzy. I will say I had a color issue not too long ago that the printhead was the culprit. do you check to see if any printhead is misfiring?
