GA 6.2 Question

Hi.
I am still running GA 6.2.
This has happened before but I can't remember how I dealt with it.
Under "file", there is a list:
NEW
OPEN
DIGITIZE NEW etc.
Well I accidentally hit the digitize new one, and I get this tiny little thing on the screen which is two boxes connected by a line.
(I assume it's a baseline)
How do I get rid of it? I hate having it there.
I never digitize anything.

Select Display Controls under the Display menu item. I had to check this on an Arabic system but I think thats correct.

Just close it and re-open it. That's what's worked for me in the past.
