GCC Expert 24 Error issue

I ran over to a friends shop today and here he has purchase a GCC Expert 24 plotter from a company that bit the dust. We can get rip software to run the plotter but when it is turned on the error light is lit including all the other lights too. So we cannot move the media or run the test cut functions. He does not have a manual. I tried holding buttons down, turning it off and on, unplugging the cords. Is their a hard reset? Any help appreciated!

Hi,
I also have a GCC Expert 24, hopefully I can help you. Did you lock each wheel under the white markers? When you turn it on does the head go back and forth and then rest by the wheel at the most right?

Yes I locked the wheels down under the white markers. It also found the media size and goes to the cut ready position. But the lights are all lit. You can run the cutter from the rip. But you can't do any test cuts or mover the media

So to recap, you can make cuts, but the error light is blinking and you cant move or do test cuts?
To move the media you have to take it offline.
After you turn it on and it finishes reading the media size press "On/Offline", this will take it OFFLINE. Then press the arrows and you should be able to move the media/head. Press "data clear" and that should clear the data and get rid of the blinking light. After you're done all that, put it back into ONLINE mode to make your cuts by pressing "On/Offline" again.

Hope this helps....
