Grrr....Tearing out my hair on this one.

Printing clear static cling. Two color. Foil Gold and Black. (see attached)

Can't get the black to completely overprint the gold. I've downloaded all 14 pages on this topic. (and read them) Seems like it should be a simple thing. Don't want the knockout.

I do realize since I'm printing on clear static cling, I'm must use "reverse image". But I'm not using "reverse print order". Where it asks whether you want Use Composer print order, I've tried both checked and unchecked.

It just continues to "knock out". I want the black to completely overprint the shape of the gold.

Anybody?

select black print objects and do ctrl+F6 (overprint on fills)

if you are printing in reverse (ie interior decal seen from outside) select the gold and do "overprint on fills" as the black will need to be layed down first

not a lot of time right now, but "overprint" always worked for me... and in case ikt's confusing things to "reverse" in GSPlot, you can flip it in composer...

but in case you have to fall back on tricking the machine, you can set the edge to return to point of orgin after the print & then send the black like it's a seperate job. Put a little reg mark on the leading edge so they both fall a prescribed distance from the target.

Check your 1234 dialog in Composer that your print order is Gold first and black with overprint second. Then in GSPPlot you should be able to both reverse it (F3) and reverse the print order in the Print Options 123 dialog (F11). The black will show as overprint but will print first and then the gold will print second and automatically overprint the black.
