Gerber Envision X axis encoder fail

My Envision has just thrown up this error message "X Axis Encoder fail"

I've tried unplugging it for a while and restarting, but no luck.

It means the Encoder does not recognise X motor movement, or the motor does not move when it should. It could be mechanical or electrical fault. If you somewhere close to Romford, I am happy to help to find out.

I'm in High Wycombe so only about hour and 15 minutes

I've had to replace the sensor for that on an EnVision 375 plotter before, they can go bad.
