Gerber Fastrack 650 Help!

I have a Gerber Fastrack 650 along with the book. It came with some other items I purchased and I don't need the plotter but would like to make sure it works correctly before I put it up for sale. So here is my problem, when I turn it on it goes through what appears to be its self test setup and positions the head on the far right looking at the plotter. I load a roll of vinyl and then push the online button and nothing happens. I have looked through the book and online and find no solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's been years since I turned mine on. But what is it supposed to do after you press "online"?

If I have time tomorrow, I will dig it out and turn it on and see what it does, And let you know.

So I dug it out, And when you power it up the LED's cycle 10%-100% until you load Vinyl into the machine when you lower the pinch wheels and shut the cover it will initialize. Then the online LED will come on when complete. I cannot use mine ay more because I no longer have a computer with a parallel port.

Thank you for taking the time to dig it out and try it for me. I really appreciate it. For some reason mine is not initializing after I load the vinyl and close the top. Not sure why. Also believe it or not you can still use that cutter even on windows 7. I use a parallel to USB cable and it works fine for the older Summa T750 through Sign lab. I tried to use it on the gerber which I am pretty sure it will work if I can get it to initialize. I am thinking one of the micro switches is causing the problem.
