Gerber Odyssey Plotter Problem

Fred Weiss

Merchant Member
From the User Manual

Error 32

Error / Failure:
EEPROM failure

Meaning:

Firmware memory chip not functioning

Correction:

Restore factory defaults.
1. Turn off power.
2. While holding down F1 and CANCEL keys, turn on power.
3. Retry.

Call Field Service if retry fails

I doubt if you will find a "plotter repair shop" that can help you because of the electronics being proprietary to Gerber. I would recommend that you contact your Gerber distributor as a starting point. I had a similar problem as have others and it turned out to be the toolhead assembly needed replacing. I worked through Advantage Sign and Graphic Solutions and had a new toolhead sent in then did the repair myself and was back up and running is less than a day and a half.

Thanks for the reply. That's what my manual said to do, but as usual that didn't fix problem.
Guess I have another dust collector for my shop.
