We were running Omega 2.6 with our CE-5000 plotter with no issues on our old XP system then our computer crashed. Purchased new 64 bit computer with Vista and re-loaded Omega then had to wait for Graphtec drivers. Just loaded the 64 bit drivers and we are getting a communication error "Cannot open USB: For Spooling~tmpa13F.tmp. We aren't a production facility so time isn't too critical but we'd like to get some necessary work done.Any help?

Get a USB to serial cable converter & a serial cable for plotters and assign the plotter through the add hardware in composer gsp plot. It will show up as com 4. Or add a serial port to your PC

might sound stupid, but are you sure the USB is plugged in properly (both to pc and machine)??

Instead of buying there proprietary cable and stuff, I was hoping that Gerber had a solution or something.
The cables are plugged in properly and the plotter runs fine with the generic software provided with the Graphtec.
