I am looking at a Gerber Sabre 408 with the ATC. I’ve tried to get some info about this machine from my suppliers. The owner is not with us anymore and his wife has no info. I’ve been told to stay clear of this machine because the Automatic Tool Changer is problematic and not supported anymore. I’m a long time Gerber user although I’m not familiar with the routers. So does anyone have info on the early 2000’s Sabres with the Columbo Spindle and the Automatic Tool Changer issues?
The machine has omega 2.5 which won’t open and artpath software.
I’ve come across threads online saying to stay away from the ATC but not why and what the problems are.
