getting a cutline in Omega to work with Vesaworks?

Hi, I am new to the forum, but not the sign industry. I have been running gerber edges for 12 years, and just purchased my first Versacamm 540i.

In order for me to convert the file and set the cutline, I have to make the cutline with a stroke. This usually works, but on some vectored files, no matter what I do, it won't bring in the cut line.


It is frustrating, as it only happens 1 out of 10 files I send over as a pdf.
Anyone else having issues, or have fix for me?

Shouldn't you be sending your files to your RIP in .eps format?

By the way, we're running Omega to a Roland printer with excellent results including cut files.

thanks, I will try that, I was pdf'ing all the files

Raster images we send as .tif
Vector images we send as .eps
Raster images with cut lines assigned, send as .eps.

There are settings in the Export Options dialog box (when exporting a cut file) that need to be set a certain way.

BTW, which version of Omega are you running?
