Getting error reading: Caridges seperated while printing on the Roland SolJet XC-540

This error occurs after printing a few feet of media. Not sure why it says an error occurred because cartridge
separated. Any help?

Sarah, try cleaning the encoder strip first. that error really means that the encoder from the motor and the encoder on the head carriage are reporting different info. Usually this is from a dirty or defective encoder strip.

Wait...do you mean CARRIAGES? I keep reading that your ink cartridges are separating and I'm thinking "WHAT"?
