Tim, I don't care who cancelled what or what caused it, the reality is there are a million people like me that lost it for whatever reason. Reasons we had nothing to do with. Blaming anyone doesn't bring back my healthcare. I just want it fixed. You know what the "fix" is from my senator? A "bronze" plan. I asked what that meant and they said that it would be a lower cost plan that had a higher deductible than the other plans. I think they were talking about a $10,000-12,000 deductible. I had to take her to school and explain, in a very loud voice, how stupid a concept it was to put a low cost plan out with higher deductibles put in place to help people who lost their healthcare because the costs went up. I honestly don't think I've gone off on anyone like that in my adult life. When I was done with the call (50 minutes), my voice was shot and my hands were shaking. These morons just don't get it.
Wait, you seem to be contradicting yourself unless you misspoke. Are you saying that everyone who doesn't listen to Beck or Rush is crazy, or those who do listen to them are the crazy ones?
Most of us are aware that the AHCA is a law and not an insurance plan. Your analogy about auto insurance and health insurance is right on target except for the fact that not everyone has to be able to drive a car, but EVERYBODY needs healthcare. So in that case, I'd say its even more critical that everyone have coverage from birth to death. I mean, fer crissakes...... the rest of the industrialized world can't be wrong on this issue.
The completely moronic and highly ironic thing about it is that we have three huge segments of the population that get "government" run healthcare, the poor, seniors and military personnel.

When obamacare took effect and bcbs was dumping everyone I was a$$tite and scared. Luckily I was not dumped. Im paying $380 per month for BCBS. What has changed since obamacare? They wont pay for dr visits or prescriptions like they once did. Labs are not paid as much either. I gripe but am grateful and I have a decent plan.

I suspect there is whole lot more than what you said about your family problems. No radio talker can have that much influence. Dig deeper.
Louisiana Blue Cross has announced the rates for group plans for 2015 will increase between 16.9% to 19.1%. Individual and ACA premiums will not be released until November 6th, after the mid term elections.... I'm pretty sure neither Rush or Beck had anything to do with it.

Seen on the news that the plans for 2017 could go up as much as 45%. That is just bat %^&% crazy!
Are there any other options than just the marketplace (Obama Care)?
I called an insurance agent and all they give me is quotes off of the marketplace. What the heck are other business owners doing? Or is everyone either going broke or going without?

funny. this post was started on 10-13-2014. It was fun reading thru it seeing everyone "liking" Obamacare. lol.....I wonder how they are liking it now.
Healthcare is now a disaster. my blue cross is thru the roof and doesnt cover a damn thing anymore. More and more large insurance companies are dumping Obamacare and I love it.
My problem is once his plan is demolished, how is that going to leave all of us? is blue cross going to drop rates and start covering stuff again? will everything return to how it was?

Rates are also increasing.
Brother-in-law had his plan taken away because it was too good.
His employer still hasn't revealed the new plan. Only thing he was told is it will be more expensive with higher deductibles.
My nephew closed his business because he couldn't keep up with increasing insurance costs. His personal family more than doubled with the onset of the ACA. He went back to school and is a firefighter now. Not sure how his former employees are doing.
Funny how you never hear about the 10's of millions that the ACA was supposed to help, but still don't have insurance.

I liked obamacare since we lost our group policy due to a tripling in price... it was the first time ever that a individual plan was cheaper than a group.
Now not so much, this year we can't find a doctor who accepts our plan within 50miles for us or our kids, and next year we are going to have far less options. We will be looking on the private market for next year but it's going to be even more expensive.

It's actually been cheaper for me to just take a hit every year and go without.
Busted up my knee real bad in a horse accident, never really healed just right, but unless it's really cold out, it handles ok.

What I see as a outsider is you guys blame pure greed for the reason your healthcare sucks. Your "way of doing things" has been so ingrained in your life that is such a hard way to see any other way of doing things.
In Canada, in my family , there have been numerous amount of examples with our older folks and me personally that I guess I would have been dirt poor trying to provide healthcare for us. In my family and close circle of friends there have been an exorbitant amount of examples where the health care system has worked extraordinarily well. I am so grateful to be born in my country.
I honestly dont know enough to make a fully educated assessment on your system but the first hand stories I have heard ( from my USA friends) and the countless other stories are heartbreaking and mind boggling.
