Ghosting from the back of cut decals? Any idea what is causing it?

Anyone know what causes this?

Offset ghosting on the back of cut decals.

3M 1080 Wrap Film cut with Graphtec FC8600.

yup, if you were driving the other direction, the "driver" side of the vinyl would do the same thing

+1 for unclebun comment. Take a close look at the shadows. They indicate the same angle of sunlight. I would imagine if the sunlight was coming in from the left instead that the "ghosting" would be on the other side.

I think the technical term for it is a "shadow".

It's the same effect as this, but viewed from the other side:

Glass has thickness.. you're seeing the shadow of the sticker applied to the outside glass face on the inside glass face.
