Im guessing out of safety...lol

Like taking a daily driver, it does more harm to just slam on the gas from a dead stop, so one accelerates slowly, so i guess its designed to ease the flutter up to the 24 fps each eye just reach to achieve the effect.

Of course it's fake - your eye lid muscles would explode and it would be a mess.....

I reckon that would give you R.S.I. of the eye lid.
I hope and pray this is fake as I wouldn't want a machine that uses electricity to invoke a muscular movement so close to your brain.
Absolutley nuts.
