You may be suffering from SAD...seasonal whatever its called disorder.
My late sister got this every winter and she would be OK again by spring.
My entire life the past while has just felt like I was coasting along
(mainly due to having to get a real job, it's depressing)
but I do try to get enjoyment from little things and I try to make the most of the good times I do have.
Chin up old boy.
Love....Jill

...No but in all seriousness, it may sound cliche but I feel like it helps to count ones blessings every chance you get. After reading your post, what I see is a guy with a career in one of the best and rewarding industries in the world (in my opinion), a home to go to at the end of the day, and a family waiting for him when he does. Some folks would kill for a life like that. You really are lucky.

Yeah...what Joe said, glass half empty/half full kind of stuff. :thumb:

Aaaand ...you get to drive tractors and combines! Are you Kidding Me? THAT would be awesome! YOU get to work a large farm AND run a sign shop!

Which leads me to my next suggestion: Professional help. Something may be going on mentally or chemically that you don't have the tools to fix on your own. Asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of especially if it leads to a better life. I hope you climb out of that rut man. It really does sound like you have a lot going for you.

go see some one that you can talk to as it is the best thing you can do for yourself and family.

You may be suffering from SAD...seasonal whatever its called disorder.

My girlfriend's father suffers from that working long days as a manager at the local automotive plant. I would imagine it's a much more common disorder than some would think.

I don't know you, Mosh, but you seem like a great guy and your personality is beyond entertaining. I was pretty bummed when you announced you were leaving the forum for a while but am glad to see you are back even if things aren't going all that well for you. There is a lot of excellent advice here and this is a great thread. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

You're a :cool1: cat!

Get your testosterone checked out. My best friend described feeling the same way as you. He went to a men's health specialist who did complete blood work and discovered his testosterone levels were out of whack. Now he uses some medications and is feeling much better.

Your children need you way more than they need a grandfather or you need a dad.
Stay engaged with them and enjoy all aspects with them.
Truly the most trite and true saying is they grow up so fast.

It might've been depressing and morbid, but it was still funny as all get out...... like in an s101 kinda way.

whatever it is, don't keep it built in like i have.... you become a ticking bomb.

yup.

wakeup, get my son ready and myself ready, dropoff at school, work, close the shop at about 5:30 pickup at school at about 6:00, grocery store 6:20, cook dinner eat and it's about 7 maybe 7:30. by then i'm tooo warn out to do anything else between all that and the laundry and keeping the house clean. I feel you and feel for you. I could care less about going places that maybe once i was excited to go to.

The short days are even more depressing cause it's dark earlier.. but it's been getting darker later... Yesterday i'll still seen the sunset leaving work, so there is soon hope in a 7pm -8pm sunset coming soon.

I don't see how people do it. How they balance and manage all that and everything else in life... I've been trying too and just can't seem to get it. And it depresses me also and i feel like it's now my everyday routine, like you said, gliding.

And it's gotten worse since my fiance is working 12 hours shifts for the past 8 months... depending if it 6a to 6p or 6p to 6a.... a few days can go past and i haven't even seen him till he comes home in the am to sleep.

Mosh, Maybe it's just things... like small things at home, overwhelming things, the fact that your doing so much... and i'm sorry about your dad too, that's got to have a heavy handle on you. Life is too short to ignore each other like that.... maybe you should talk face to face rather then calling him. Your in my prayers for brighter days:smile:

So you mean it is not "life is like a box of chocolates" but "life is like a chocolate bunny"? Yea, that will lift your spirits for sure, especially if you live in Australia right now.

Oh yeah.
We've been putting a chocolate bunnies outside to watch them melt lately.

Cheers us the **** up every time.
