I recently printed a couple of 24" x 48" digital prints which were predominantly black. I usually use a lustre laminate for most laminations but this time I thought a gloss would look good and it does, except that I can see an incredible amount of scratching as the prints were moved around the shop and finally applied to aluminum composite. The signs are outdoor and will be used as an entry point to a driveway so in reality the scratches will not be detecatable by the general public. The guy paying for it will see it real close up and I wonder if the scratching is a general issue with gloss lam? Is there a safe way to try and remove the scratches? They are fine and were caused primarily from a soft squeegee.
