anyway of eliminating the stepping in the gradiants when producing those type of designs???

There is, but your going to need to provide more detail as to what file types your using, what printer, what rip etc. Different settings...for different setups.

I'm guessing that will solve the problem? We just had gotten the vp540 so we learned on versaworks figuring that would best be suited for the printer.
