Graphics with Overprint Attribute not printing - how to avoid it?

Do any of you have this problem? Ya get a file from the customer, set it up, check the colors, everything looks great but when you print the file, some of the graphics don't print because they have an "Overprint" attribute in Illustrator? It's such an uncommon thing (like 1 - 3 times a year) that I just don't think to check every single file. It would be great to figure out a way for Illustrator to notify when a file contains overprints or some kind of warning about it. Does anyone know of a way to set that up in Preferences?

We have this problem aswell. ColorGate will drop out text/images randomly. Only way we've found around it is just proofing our prints very closely.

There should be a script out there to check for overprint but a quick search didn't pull up any free ones.
This plug-in will do it but it does a good deal more and costs about $80.00 US.

A quick cheap way to do it:
Open up the "Attributes" window (Ctrl+F11)
Select all
Check the overprint box once to turn it on for all objects then un-check the box to turn it off for all objects.

Seems to work here (CS5) and even drills down into groups and multiple layers.
Much faster than selecting each suspect object one by one to see if it is on or off.
