Need Help Graphtec Cutting in different depths at X Axis

Hello!

We are having an issue with our Graphtec 8600, the knife is cutting deeper close to the origin point in X axis. Basically, it cuts deeper in the first 20″ of the axis, and the remaining cuts as it should.

Anyone experience that before?

On another topic, we are quite frustrated with the new Cutting Master 4, such a regress compared to version 3.

Check the teflon strip it cuts against. You might have a groove worn in the first 20" where the majority of your plotting occurs.

We have had that happen to us a bunch of times. Usually it is that the cutting strip is worn down in some places and the knife drops through the material. If you flip over the media you can see it will have cut through in some places but not all. Vertical lines are a good way to tell as they are the same spot on the cutting strip. The near side of the strip will wear quicker than the outside due to the different widths of media we plot. We always try to have 1-2 cutting strips on the shelf for when this happens.

It's also a good reminder at that point to check for dust in the knife holder and that the blade is in good shape with no nicks.
