Graphtec FC-7000 - won't go into media detect mode - Position error HELP!

OK, I load the media, select ROLL ONE REAR SET.

The display reads: PRESS ENTER AFTER RELEASING MEDIA LOCK.

I press enter then the carriage CRAWLS to the left until it hit the post and I get a POSITION ERROR ON Y AXIS.

Anyone know what may be wrong?

Sounds like the pinch wheel sensor on the back of the cutter head has failed or lose wire
Most common problem on my fc has been flat cable related
In service mode is a sensor check test screen to diagnose

Found the issue last night.

The electronic eye that is on the underside of the card atop the cutter/pen carriage got bent out of place. The casing came off around the IR diode and blocked it from "seeing". Bent it back up into place and all is well.
