Graphtec FC8000 Making Grinding noise while cutting corners

The Title says it all. The whole carriage vibrates and it cuts slowly when it cuts curves. It cuts full speed straight lines.
The plunger is not touching the material, this is simple oracal 651.
I turned off all driver options in Flexi because of unrelated issues. There is one called "FD" which I have no idea what it means. It goes from 0-35

The FD option seems to be the one that keeps it cutting smoothly, quietly, and fast. I should maybe turn it on but it may lead to the cutting errors.

So its either vibration and slow
or fast and cutting errors...such as not finishing cuts.
I just know vibration is bad..in most cases..
The internets are no help.

Check the nodes/points in your file. Sounds like a vectorized file possibly and if so, the corners may have a ton of points that the blade is following.

How much of the blade is exposed from the blade holder?

Picture of the blade holder area please

I had a problem with an old Graphtec cutter.
The knife holder had bearings in it which can wear out if let run dry for too long.

pull the cover off the pen block.. make sure there is no play between the carriage and track, make sure there is no play in the pen block.. make sure it's all screwed together and not coming undone..

just things to look at.. never had that problem.
