Hi all,
My wife and I recently ordered a UScutter SC series 24" cutter, some vinyl and other tools that we will need. We used to do custom shirts, but sold our press because we weren't having much luck. The problem was, we ordered screen printed transfers from a company in Ohio that required us to order more than 10-15 at a time to make it cost effective. Everyone wanted 1 or 2 shirts. We looked into doing vinyl at the time, but the cost for cutters was outrageous (to our budget). Fast forward 10 years, and my wife's cousin started doing shirts, hats, etc, using a vinyl cutter. Got to looking at her equipment and playing with it a little and realized that it is something we could do. After a little research on costs, we decided to jump into the pool, to test the waters. We are hoping to begin with decals (window, item decorations, etc) and maybe basic signs (automotive magnet, campaign type signs, etc). Our plan is to ASAP get a t-shirt press again and start doing those as well. I don't do anything half way. Thanks for the site and thanks in advance for the advice that this newbie will be needing.
