Grimco Buys GSG

Whos the next privately owned supplier Grimco buys up. Will this help drop prices or increase as they are gobbling everyone up? Does this mean the hp conundrum is over? Where they can tell you how many flatbed competitors you can sell. As grimco is now too big for hp to hold any pressure against. Will they take Vangured on with buying out GSG? A lot is going to shake up in the industry for suppliers being able to tell HP to piss off or they will sell Epson, Mimaki, Roland for small printers and digi, vanguard, efi....
Hp will no longer have their famous pull on their contracts as grimco will set the new precedent on what can happen and still stay with in the HP world with out the 6month suspension HP threatens. We have already seen it with Lexjet and how hp had their first bad qtr. after cutting them from the program of selling latex.

Hp doesn't sell direct on 90-95percent of their latex line, they are actually pulling away from that segment for direct sales . With them relying solely on resellers to sell the latex printers.

Well said.

how big is Grimco? Can’t be bigger than HP or I am lost of updates.
Hp 2024 revenue $53.6 billion

Grimco revenue from what I could find $241.8 Million but might not be accurate since private company

I remember seeing on GSGs website saying $500+ million revenue

HP could probably buy both cash

Not a bad bet!
I also know they are trying to buy up manufacturers like they did aluminum ,acm, and styrene. My thought is they buy gf next as they already make a lot of the briteline line of things.

Just your bright haired sign designer.
In the Denver area, I bet they go after Denver Sign Supply next. They already ate up Midwest and Denco in a 4 year time period...
I'd be so sad if my friends at Sun Supply got bought out by Grimco. Welcome to the game of monopoly! Good luck on the game board.

15 years ago I started working for Signage Specialist in Denver. Back then there was Fellers, Grimco, Denco, MidWest, Montroy, Milano and a few others I'm sure I'm leaving out serving the area. Now it's basically Grimco and us although Milano does sell substrate but no machine sales or service. Through the years I've watched them all get bought out or just up and leave like Fellers. We don't even try to compete on vinyl sales anymore due to the big guys being able to bring in so many pallets that they get much better pricing. Luckily, the parts and service part of the business has never been better as the big dealers don't seem to be interested in managing that aspect of the industry.

Arial - it's almost helvetica
Now that they are about out of large distributors to take over, when do they start buying the wholesale print companies?

I thought this was propaganda. I just got off the phone with gsg. They told me that the purchase went through on Thursday. Friday, they made the announcement and Monday the Grimco ceo met with gsg staff.

As to the fellers comment: Frank Fellers already sold out. So if they sell to grimco, it might be mildly surprising just because they just went through that a year or so ago.

I just want to know if Grimco will carry arlon. Their briteline version of slx has some failures.

I'm not real happy about this announcement. I like gsg.
