I want to know what lines they may carry that proveer does not carry? Are they decent to deal with? I don't think my branch will change all that much....but you never know

our invoices still say "East West Plastics & Electrical Products Inc" so they are a bit behind the times.

I'm guessing it's a change in name only, We don't seem to get any nice things north of the border, we live in the land of "special order"

Ha.....so true. :banghead:

I've found proveer to bit better than ND in this regard. i remember calling ND for a white Gerber Edge foil, they told me they didn't have a single one in any of their branches in Canada and the next expected shipment in would be in 4 weeks, they seemed to think that was perfectly normal and wondered why I couldn't just wait.

Hey Scott, if that happenes again just call Advantage signs in grand rapids...They can get anything ND makes you wait for within a day

we've used Grimco for years and they are a good supplier as far as we are concerned. I have seen some posts on this site that say otherwise but most of those seemed to be partly the person's own fault and not so much Grimco.

I think this is going to be good.
From what I hear they will continue to carry Oracal, but that could change I guess.
The big news is they will carry 3M now.

Grimco is awesome to work with. I get all my sheet goods from them (aluminum, coro, max-metal, MDO).

Remember when Proveer took over East West up here, they sent out this nice glossy "North American" Catalogue with all these nice things in it that I had never seen anywhere else, nice post & panel kits, brackets, sign blanks, specialty vinyls etc, I was excited as a pig in s**t, finally we can get some decent stuff up here.

Called to inquire on some of it
"We don't stock that in Canada"
"Can i order it in"
"No"
"you are aware that Canada is part of North America right"

At the end of the day, Proveer carried the exact same stuff as East West, and I'm expecting Grimco to carry the exact same stuff as Proveer, it will be a change in Name only.
